Who’s Hot, Who’s Not
via Boston Sunday Herald:
HOT:
Sarah Palin: The media loves to bash her, but at least they spell her name right. Her book is No. 1 in sales at Amazon.com – just like it was more than a month ago – and it doesn’t hit bookstores till Tuesday. Can she reinvent herself in time for 2012?
NOT:
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed: With nothing to do but sit around growing his beard for the last seven years in Gitmo, he’s sporting a new jihadi look, and he’s headed for the Big Apple – to face capital charges in the murder of more than 3,000 Americans. Here’s hoping he doesn’t get Judge Ito.
On that last point, no kidding. I’d say chances of KSM turning this into the OJ trial of the 21st century are significantly better than Palin getting elected president at this point … though if he does that, her chances get better.
Maguire: Try finding an impartial jury. He’s got a point. I see no end of appeals unless they change venue. Some place like, I dunno, Cuba.
Surber: Palin takes on the AP. He counsels against it. Says its as unwise as taking on Fox. I dunno. People watch Fox because they have to. They read AP because they have no choice.
HotAir: Newsweek dumps all over … guess which personage in the news.
Related, via Gateway: Liz Cheney, 2012 winner will have a lot of undoing to do. Yeah, but the good news is how much undoing might not need to be done. Case in point: Napolitano thinks the middle of O’s slo-mo health-care trainwreck is the right time to trot out immi reform. LA Times.
