Barbarians At The Gates

The Warm Gates. Confusion, consternation in the enemy camp is forcing rending of garments, gnashing of teeth, bitter recrimininations … and snarkiness. Plus some blithe, witty obtuseness. Heads up: Gore-buttonholing op at noon in downtown Chicago! 

Warmal Knight Errant George Monbiot at the Guardian acknowledges the breach in the castle walls, the wild-eyed barbarian skeptics pouring in, but then bravely goes on to mock it all with a Templar parody.

Christopher Monckton at Pajamas Media declares it the end of the global warming fraud as we know it. He’s the man who challenged the great warmal prophet, Nobel laureate Al Gore, to a debate.

Which raises the question. Where is Al? As the crowned Prince of Warming, isn’t it time for him to rally his people and be last seen charging into the fray? I hope he hasn’t decamped out the back with his baggage train … like some poltroonish mountebank. Egads.

Hey, check this out. NBC Chicago, “Talk About The Weather With Al Gore.” What a great idea.

Noon today at the Borders on State Street in Chicago, where the enNobeled One will be discussing his new book, “Our Choice: A Plan To Solve The Climate Crisis.” Great title, very timely. What is his plan to solve this latest game-changing climate crisis? Could get interesting. Good morning, Chicago!

Apparently he was on SNL, no mention of you-know-what. This is a good quote, though. Examiner:

I’m going to start acting crazy. I think it’s crazy that our politicians aren’t worried about the climate crisis. So it’s time to outcrazy the crazy.

… Instead of science, I’m going with crazy.

Good plan. Stick with what’s worked. That and ignoring any inconvenient truths. (Bummer the SNL writers couldn’t scribble fast enough to come up with quick-and-dirty British email skit. Monty Python and the Holy Grail homage, you know, ”Bring out your dead! … I’m not dead yet” or the Green Knight, “Come back here, I’ll bite you to death!”  ”‘Ow do you know he’s a prophet? … Well, he doesn’t have shit all over him like everyone else.” That kind of thing.)

FOX, in a discussion of the new doc, “Not Evil, Just Wrong,” has the Goreacle being confronted about his own errata, BTW, in some ante-deluge footage.

Anyway, here’s the google news search on Gore. Not a peep about the dire news from East Anglia, except one obscure posting in Ontario’s Sudbury Star that asks whether he’ll be eating crow.
